Courses & WorkshopsSomething is being made for you.
These courses don't exist yet — and that's intentional.
Tending Practice was built slowly, from the inside out. Before anything goes live, the curriculum has to be right: rooted in lineage, grounded in practice, and designed for the esthetician who's ready to treat the whole person — not just the surface.
What's coming is professional continuing education that meets you where the rest of the industry hasn't. Not product knowledge. Not a technique without context. Education that gives you a complete framework and the confidence to use it.
Continuing EducationWhat You Can Expect
Every Tending Practice offering — whether a single afternoon workshop or a multi-day intensive — is built around the same core belief: lineage before technique, whole body before skin.
That means you'll always learn the why before the how. The tradition before the tool. The person in front of you before the protocol.
★★★★★
“I came with little knowledge of facial massage. The training in my esthetician program was lacking. After training with Joann, I feel confident in my techniques. I learned so much more than I even planned on. This training is changing my business for the better.”
Amy B.
Topics in DevelopmentHere's a look at what's being built:
-
Reading the face through a constitutional lens. Dosha-specific protocols, ingredient selection, and how to bring Ayurvedic principles into a treatment room without diluting them.
-
Vital energy points mapped to the face, head, and neck. How to integrate marma into your existing treatments to support the nervous system and deepen results.
-
Myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, structural lifting, gua sha, and cupping — taught as a cohesive system, not a grab bag of techniques.
-
Plant identification, preparation methods, and how to build botanical protocols that address skin as an ecosystem. Real herbalism — not ingredient lists.
-
The ancient Ayurvedic metal tool and how to use it with intention: energetics, marma integration, and practical technique for the treatment room.
-
The practitioner skills that determine the depth of every session: trauma-informed presence, nervous system attunement, communication, and the art of sacred container.

-

Advanced Facial Massage
Deep sculpting, myofascial integration, and lifting technique. What your esthetics school skipped over.
-

Herbalism For Skin
How plants interact with skin physiology, inflammation, and the lymphatic system. Rooted in 20 years of clinical herbalism.

The most underestimated and under-taught skill in holistic esthetics. Your nervous system regulation is part of the treatment.
Get on the WaitlistDoors aren't open yet, but you can be the first to know when they are.
Waitlist members get early access, first-look pricing, and direct input into what gets built next. This is a small, intentional community, and the people who show up early help shape what it becomes.
A Note on CE Hours
Tending Practice courses are not currently approved for state-board CE credit hours. They are designed as professional development education — skills and frameworks that deepen your practice, your client outcomes, and your understanding of the body.
CE approval is something being explored for future offerings. Waitlist members will be the first to know when that changes.
